The Roman settler and winegrower Cornelius settled in the Colterenzio area around 15 BC, and founded his Cornelianum wine estate, form which the name Cornaiano developed. He laid the foundations for our present-day wine culture. Cornelius is an elegant Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.

Full yellow in colour; a deliciously intensely aromatic and floral bouquet with hints of honey and ginger with a flavour of lychees; full-bodied, luscious but dry, the opulence cut by vibrant, firm acidity.

The colour is impressively deep, almost black tinged with violet; open on the nose with concentrated aromas of violets, blackberries and black cherries, all nicely meshed with savoury flavours, coffee and dark chocolate. A powerful and supple wine with assertive, youthful tannins and superb length.

A joyously unique Schreckbichl white wine cuvee, opulent on the nose with a whirl of aromas reminiscent of citrus fruits, gooseberry, ripe apple, floral scents especially of elderflower mingled with fresh herbs such as sage and mint, all in perfect synergy. Delightfully fresh, concentrated and balanced on the palate with zesty acidity.

Delicate fruit aromas reminiscent of Muscat, youthful freshness – an excellent aperitif wine. It is delicious with spicy hors d'oeuvres and fish.

Bright pale yellow tinged with green; attractive ripe orchard fruits on the nose, elegant and multi-faceted, yeasty with hints of honeydew melon and citrus fruits supported by firm acidity typical of the growing season, leading to a flinty aftertaste. Food Choices: Pasta and fragrant summer dishes, fish and seafood, white meats and fresh cheeses.

Full yellow tinged with green; the bouquet is concentrated and fruity leading to a full mouth feel characterised by attractive orchard fruit flavours, hay and honey with crisp, refreshing acidity. Villa Nigra is the Latin name fort he Scharzhaus (“Black House”) estate, a vineyard as if made for producing fine Pinto Noir of top international standing. The strongly contrasting temperatures between day and night time enables Pinot grapes to develop their intense classic varietal character, reminiscent of raspberry, morello cherry and blackberry. A clean, concentrated floral nose reminiscent of elder and acacia flower with ah hint of sage, leads to a fresh, distinctive palate with nicely rounded fruit, light oak spice and a crisp finish. This delicate, slender, pale red from the Vernatsch variety was grown o old vines in the Menzenhof farmstead at Cornaiano. Its vibrant fruit and delicately bitter aftertaste make the Menzenhof the most typical varietal Vernatsch wine in all South Tyrol.
