Origin & Soil: From the Pian Romualdo vineyard in Monforte d'Alba Very calcareous and light in colour, of marnous type.
Taste: Purple red in colour with dark ruby reflexes. On the nose, complex, elegant with hints of blackberries and spices. On the palate full and harmonic. A perfect match for roasted meats, game dishes and seasoned cheeses. Ideal serving temperature 17°C.
Vinification: The grapes arrived in the cellars and were destemmed and crushed. Maceration lasted 10 days at a maximum temperature of 30 °C. The malolactic fermentation was completed before the winter. Ageing took place for 12 months part in 50 Hl oak barrels, part in 5 Hl tonneaux and part in barriques. Another 4 months of bottle ageing followed in the Prunotto cellars before shipping.
