The geographical origin of Tortiglioni is uncertain. They belong to the short straight cut ribbed dried pasta family. they have a 11,3 mm diameter and are 48 mm long with a thickness ranging between 1,05 and 1,15 mm.
Tortiglioni are excellent with dainty hearty meat ragùs. Very tasty with tomato or tomato and vegetable sauces. This format is also particularly suitable for baked casseroles.
