Caraway & fennel are the two spices that have been traditionally used as ingredients for the original South Tyrolean Schüttelbrot. These two spices not only contribute to its unique taste, they are also easily digestible. As a rule, our South Tyrolean Mini-Schüttelbrot is eaten between meals (during a so-called ‘Jause' or ‘Brotzeit') or rather during a light afternoon meal (the South Tyrolean ‘Marende'). It makes of course a perfect accompaniment to wine and beer and is therefore ideal for all consumers who want to indulge in 100% natural crunching fun.
Ingredients: Rye flour 86%, wheat flour, yeast, salt, caraway 1%, fennel 1%, malt extract, malt flour.
