Even the ancient Romans appreciated the qualities of juniper. With the frequent use of juniper berries in the kitchens of various regions in the Alps, enjoying this juniper distillate is now a much loved tradition.
After the infusion in very pure alcohol the gentian roots are gently distilled in small stills. In fact, the delicate aroma and the typically fine and bitter flavour are assured by this method.
Grappa made mixed pomace and refined 12 months in barrique. Roner's refined Grappa Gold is distilled a delicate composition of first-class Gewürztraminer, Vernatsch and Pinot Noir grape pomace. It is aged in oak barrels to make this grappa unique and round off the authentic flavour of South Tyrolean grappa.
The barrique barrel made of ash gives to the grappa a delicate straw-yellow color. It underscores the fruity spicy notes of the first-class grappa and gives it necessary refinement to a unique mildness and harmony.
