The barrique barrel made of ash gives to the grappa a delicate straw-yellow color. It underscores the fruity spicy notes of the first-class grappa and gives it necessary refinement to a unique mildness and harmony.
In producing this fine marc brandy we take the same pains in selecting grape skins as we do the Pinot Noir grapes the our vineyard to make the wine of the same name, the “Vigna San Urbano” in the Barthenau estate. The marc is distilled using the traditional batch method. The care which goes into the distillation process, followed by a period of maturation in small oak casks, result in a grappa characterised by an elegant aroma, a smooth, velvety mouth-feel and impressive length.
