In der Nase offenherzig und einladend, nach Schokoladepulver, Malz, Vanille, dann nach satten Brombeeren sowie Amarenakirschen, im Nachhall zart nach Butterkeksen und getrockneten Veilchen. Am Gaumen satt und strahlend, zeigt dunkle und reife Frucht umhüllt von sattem und eng gewobenem Tannin, baut sich in vielen Schichten auf, endet im Finale sehr lange."

The bracing, concentrated palate offers steeped prune, licorice, bitter nut and candied notes, but it's dominated by scorching alcohol and a backbone of grippy, close-grained tannins. Give the aggressive tannins a few more years to unclench, then drink sooner rather than later before the remaining fruit dries out. Breitet sich am Gaumen mächtig aus, hat gewiss sehr viel dichtes Tannin, dazu aber auch die Fülle und reife Frucht, um das Ganze zu integrierten, strömt lange dahin, im Finale etwas Zimt."

There´s a fine balance on the palate despite very intense tannin, good degree of polish thus the tannins contribute with a good sense of freshness. Inky and dark fruit flavours black cherry, cassis, a peppery spiciness on the finish and tremendously long finish. Superb potential here but ideally another 5+ years in the cellar."
