The Roman settler and winegrower Cornelius settled in the Colterenzio area around 15 BC, and founded his Cornelianum wine estate, form which the name Cornaiano developed. Our Pinot Nero Riserva is only produced when the conditions permit the creation of a truly outstanding wine that shows off the Alto Adige region in its very best. 2019 vintage resulted in very intense, concentrated Pinots with powerful ruby red colour, fine Burgunder bouquet with red berry flavours accompanied by vanilla notes. A deep mouth filling wine with clear tannins that has all the hallmarks that we look for in a Riserva.
This is a cuvee of selected grapes Cabernet and Merlot. The morainic, gravelly and barren soils in combination with the steep and poor slopes give this wine a big complexity of nuances through a perfect harmony between the sort of vine and the wooden notes. The colour is a deep garnet red, the scent is characterised by many nuances of forest berries, intense to the palate with a full and long persistence.
Deep, quite intense, cherry red colour. Very pronounced, clean aroma with fruity notes of cherry and blackcurrant. Also spice notes (white pepper) and oak. Full bodied, with good fruit concentration on the palate. Long finish, accompagnied by tannins that are well integrated in the structure of the wine. Still rather youthful.
The Anticus is cultivated on steep sunny slopes around Magrè and it ages for 20 months in small durmast barriques. The ripened wild fruit taste combined with the soft Merlot and the strong Cabernet give an aromatic character to this wine.
Satin red with garnet reflexes. The bouquet is complex reminiscent of strawberry and raspberry with hints of liquorice, while on the palate it is enveloping, succulent with assertive but mellow tannins.
