Production area: hilly area in the North-Eastern part of Gorizia. Soil: Formed during the Eocene period presenting layers of loam rock (limestone and clay) and sandstone. Very impermeable provoking the superficial flow of water with the consequent erosion of the terrain, which brings about a very gentle morphology.
Grape Variety: Pinot Grigio
Vinification: After harvesting the grapes are separated the stalks. The juice and pulp then undergo a maceration at controlled temperature followed by a light pressing which allows the separation of the grape-skins the must. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats and the wine is left to refine for approximately six months before being bottled.
Organoleptic Characteristics: Golden yellow in colour with copper tones depending on the vintage. It presents a fruity and immediate bouquet with a pronounced hint of acacia flowers, broom and apple. In the mouth it is elegantly fruity and becomes full-bodied and well-structured. It has a very persistent finish.
Best served with: Excellent with all types of fish. It also accompanies herb risotto and other first course dishes very well.
Recommended serving temperature: 12-14°C.

The wine has a dense and impressive colour. Very intensive fruit notes of black currant and wild cherry, liquorice and leather. In the mouth it's chubby, soft, handy tannins and has a fine long finale.
This bacon is well suited for hors-d'oeuvre courts.
Roasted it tastes especially good and is best served with sauerkraut or roast potatoes - suitably in addition a chill Bavarian beer.
Characteristics: The wine has significant organoleptic characteristics: a good ruby red colour with garnet reflections; an enveloping bouquet with notes of liquorice, red brushwood fruits, hints of violet and spices; the taste has a characteristic fine, persistent sapidity and an elegant sensation of fullness enriched by rounded tannins which merge with its vibrant structure. Excellent with meat and game dishes as well as strong flavoured cheeses. A wine aged for long periods, with a longevity of over 15 years.
