Before it goes into bottle, the precise proportions of the blend are decided only after rigorous tasting of samples, barrique by barrique.

90 of 100 Points.
"Doctorwine" has rated the wine "Guerrieri Gonzaga Tenuta San Leonardo 'San Leonardo' Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT, Trentino-Alto Adige, Italy" the vintage 2001 on 29.06.2012 with 90 of 100 points.
"It had a bright red colour and the classic suggestion of red peppers in evidence on the nose, along with an intriguing spiciness and inviting rhubarb-like notes. The flavour was silky yet forceful, engrossing and convincingly quaffable. An excellent interpretation of the grape varieties and great goût de terroir; extremely recognizable, and with very decent length, too."
