A pleasant, full-bodied white wine with a rare elegance. Light green reflections sparkle through its golden colour. Its bouquet is characterised by fruity aromas, especially those of fresh green apples, such as those which ripen beside the vineyards of Merol. A fine balance between acidity and smoothness bestows a special structure on this Chardonnay. A fruity, lively, inviting wine which, when served chilled, goes well with many appetisers, with fish and white meat, or which may be enjoyed simply as an outstanding aperitif.
Vineyards: Gentle slopes in the area between Appiano and Cornaiano.
Vinification: 75 % low temperature fermentation in stainless steel tanks and 25 % in big oak casks with malolctic fermatation.
Alcol: 13,50 % Vol.

It is a very fruity Lagrein, dominated by berry-flavours, recalling raspberries and various wild berries. The exceedingly intense red of Lagrein "Merlau" comes almost close to purple. On the palate it convinces with its strong, round tannins and pleasant fullness. Its fruity and fresh character invites you to have another glass of it.
