A complex, elegant Chardonnay with enormous storage potential. Grape varierty: 100% Alto Adige Chardonnay.
Production area: Hills with south/southwest exposure, 300 - 500m altitude. Calciferous, gravelly soil with a small share of loam. Chardonnay "Freienfeld"-a blend of the best Chardonnay locations in Kurtatsch -is only produced in the years with optimal weather for this Burgundy varietal. The intermediate and deep calciferous soils are irregularly streaked with loamy quartzite. The locations stretch 300 to 500 meters in altitude. The lower locations guarantee fullness and concentration while the higher elevation, with cool downslope winds in the evenings, ensure the dynamics and the spicy contours of the wine. Authenticity and near-natural cultivation are the guidelines for the production of this wine.
