'Lafot' Cabernet is a versatile and complex wine, the vines which grow in Magrè. The temperature is mild, the hills sunny. The 12 months ageing in durmast barrels gives to Lafot strength and complexity. The taste is blackberries-like, as well as eucalyptus and pepper.
The alluvial soils comprising a mixture of gravel, clay and eroded porphyry sand impart body, depth and structure to this wine.
Intensive straw yellow with green reflexes, fruity with exotic aromas of bananas and citrus fruits, some dried hay, elegant and fresh, hefty and harmonic, clear and pure, juicy and drinkable, soft and full-bodied, minerally, full and fresh finish.
With a very fruity nose, this wine has fine, delicate peach and apricot nuances. Its high acidity makes it very fresh on the palate; its unobtrusive minerality makes for a lively finish.
The full variety of flavours is best revealed when our "Lenz" is drunk as an aperitif or enjoyed with light starters, pasta dishes, risotto or fish. Like this, its fine bouquet can unfold, prompting your tastebuds to burst into bloom.
