Sito: "Klausner" nella macrozona "Punggl", in piano, terreno sabbioso, leggermente limoso.
Vigneto: Pergola semplice, ca. 3.300 ceppi/ha, nella maggiorparte con più di 30 anni.
Lavorazione: Fermentazione e maturazione sulle fecce fini in acciaio, senza fermentazione malolattica e stabilizzazione tartarica.
DEGUSTazione: L'aroma ben evidente è caratterizzato da sentori fruttati che ricordano soprattutto pere e mele mature. In bocca domina una corposità che grazie all'acidità armoniosa preserva una certa eleganza.

Light green lustre run through the straw colour of this wine whose aroma is rich in fruits, the most striking of which are pears. An excellent acidity balance gives this wine strength and structure. It is dry and smooth on the palate, and leaves a long, pleasant aftertaste. The Pinot Grigio goes well with many dishes, especially lighter foods, to which it is an excellent accompaniment. It is served chilled and also bestows a fine taste following longer ageing.
A wine with international style, produced only in good years the best grapes. This vouches for its excellent reputation. The wine has a gold-yellow colour, with a pronounced vanilla tone that arises its maturation in small oak casks and strong aromas of ripe fruits, this Chardonnay also establishes itself on the palate, strong and rich, with a pleasant fullness of body. Full yellow tinged with green; the bouquet is concentrated and fruity leading to a full mouth feel characterised by attractive orchard fruit flavours, hay and honey with crisp, refreshing acidity. Cellaring potential 3-5 years. Food Choices: A very food-friendly wine, try with a chicken pasta bake, a fish and chip supper, an apple and celery or seafood salad.
A clean, concentrated floral nose reminiscent of elder and acacia flower with ah hint of sage, leads to a fresh, distinctive palate with nicely rounded fruit, light oak spice and a crisp finish. The Pinot Grigio 'Punggl' grows in fertile highly clayey grounds southern Magrè. The aromatic fruity taste is marked by honey, nuts and flowers giving elegance and charm to this wine. Its taste is full on the palate, with notes of minerals and an intense and persistent structure.
The Rulander or Pinot Grigio is considered a mutation of the Pinot Blanc which it distinguishes it self for the coppery colour of the bunch and for the wine characteristics. In South Tyrol this straw-coloured noble wine reaches an excellent bouquet refinement and a high quality.
