A red wine made the Schiava grape, which is still the most widely-cultivated in South Tyrol. This variety has been able to develop and improve to its best form in special cultivation areas, such as on the hills of Pagis in Ap - piano. Its clear, ruby red colour is charming; the wine re - veals fruity aromas, gentle violets and jasmine. A Schiava which, thanks to its multifaceted character, is excellently suited as an accompaniment for most dishes throughout an entire meal. It goes especially well with traditional Tyrolean snacks such as bread with bacon, sausages and cheeses. This wine is drunk young at cellar temperature chilled but not cold.
A grape with small berries that has been cultivated in South Tyrol for decades, and which prevails in an aristocratic red wine. With its strong flowery bouquet, velvety finish and fine tannic quality, this wine is perfectly suitable as an accompaniment to meat dishes.
The Meczan Pinot Noir is distinguished by its unmistakable varietal character, its distinctive aroma and fruity character, by its bright ruby colour with garnet reflexes, and its fresh, stimulating bouquet with seductive hints of woodland berries and cherry. On the palate Meczan is harmonious, sappy and mellow with impressive fruit.
Full, bright ruby in colour, this is an extremely typical Lagrein, very easily recognisable. It is immediately impressive due to the excellent equilibrium between intensity and complexity, between spice and small woodland berry fruits and violets.
This Blauburgunder (Pinot Nero) is aged in wooden barrels, it has a ruby purple-red colour with a hint of blackberries. Characteristic of this wine is its fruity, pleasant and wholehearted flavour. The Luziafeld vineyard is situated near the St. Pauls winery where the soil is loamy.
Color: intensive garnet red with ruby reflections. Smell: In the glass, Merlot aromas reminiscent of cassis and black cherry combine with the spicy-smoky character of the Cabernet, revealing a touch a green pepper and vanilla. The elegant blackberry notes of the Pinot Noir round of the composition to form a harmonious whole. Taste: On the palate, this cuvée offers an interesting symbiosis of the fruit of the Pinot Noir, the spiciness and tannins of the Cabernet, and the rich complexity of the Merlot.
Beautiful granet red. Multi-layered warm notes of ripe forest berries and roasted coffeebeans. Strong body with smooth tannins in great harmony with a vivacious acidity structure and long lasting finish. Ideal in combination with roasted meat or spicy Asian dishes like duck.
This particular wine is very rich and concentrated, full, deep ruby in colour with intense, almost aggressive herbaceous aromas which evolve and become warm and generous with maturity. They remain intense even after the wine has been in the glass for a considerable time. On the palate it is rich and dry, herbaceous, earthy and long due to its fi rm, tannic structure, characteristics which will enable this wine to mature magnifi cently in bottle for at least a year or two, evolving, mellowing and developing complexity.
Our Cuvee of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot is aged for one year in wood, and then bottled. Cabernet belongs to the most full-bodied red wine varieties, has a garnet to dark garnet color, an earthy aroma, and slightly herbal flavor. The varietal Merlot originally comes France, is a lighter, dry red wine of garnet to dark garnet color. Overtones of black currants, dried fruit, chocolate, green bell pepper, cedar and tobacco predominate in this cuvee.
The Schiava grape is a varietal specific to South Tyrol and has a subtle and delicate aroma. With its reserved character, the Schiava is able to highlight every delicious dish. The Gschleier vineyards distinguish themselves by vineyards that are now more than 100 years old.
The Lagrein has a fine and pleasant bouquet, reminiscent of violets. Its flavour is full, velvety and slightly bitter and it also keeps well. This is a wine that goes well with grilled and roast meats, game and spicy cheeses.

Deep garnet red in color, with a delicate bouquet showing the cherry note characteristic of the varietals; subtle wood tones complement its full and round fruit flavors. Compact tannins and an agreeable acidity carry this traditional South Tyrolean wine through to its long finish.
Color: brilliant deep ruby red Smell: The primary fruit aromas of dried plum and cranberry combine with the herbal aromas of mint and eucalyptus and a hint of black pepper to create a many-faceted bouquet. Taste: With its sturdy tannin structure and rich fruit aromas, the Merlot can develop to the full on the palate to display great complexity with depth and length.
Medium garnet colour with ruby hints. Rich, quite pronounced, spicy aroma with a chocolate character, floral impressions (violets), red fruit and prunes. Soft, smooth fruit, full bodied. Masculine style. Firm, dry and somewhat earthy finish.
A 14-month long aging in barrique and low yields give this wine its intense, brilliant, ruby red. Its aromas are reminiscent of berries, a little mint and licorice; soft tannins and a juicy structure with a silky and elegant finish complete the tableau.
