Cabernet Sauvignon struggles to ripen in South Tyrol, though not in the sun drenched slopes of Colterenzio, where the unique, unmistakable character of our "Katèlt" unfolds to the full.
'Lafot' Cabernet is a versatile and complex wine, the vines which grow in Magrè. The temperature is mild, the hills sunny. The 12 months ageing in durmast barrels gives to Lafot strength and complexity. The taste is blackberries-like, as well as eucalyptus and pepper.
The alluvial soils comprising a mixture of gravel, clay and eroded porphyry sand impart body, depth and structure to this wine.
The TOREN Cabernet Sauvignon Riserva is a dark garnet red, full- bodied, beautifully structured and harmonious wine. The complex bouquet develops an initial spicy tobacco note into fruity nuances of cassis and cranberry. The wine has a fresh, nicely accentuated acidity with a firm backbone of soft and ripe tannins. It is strong on the palate and persistent in the finish.
Pinot Bianco is part of the Burgundian Pinot family and is related to Pinot Grigio and the principal grape of Pinot family, Pinot Noir. As a wine, Pinot Blanc feels fresh and rich yet dry. It has a greenish yellow to light yellow color and light scents of green apple. The wine also shows a complex nutty flavor and hints of green leaves. It feels balanced between richness of texture and bright acidity.
Our Pinot Nero Riserva is only produced when the conditions permit the creation of a truly outstanding wine that shows off the Alto Adige region in its very best. 2013 vintage resulted in very intense, concentrated Pinots with powerful ruby red colour, fine Burgunder bouquet with red berry flavours accompanied by vanilla notes. A deep mouth filling wine with clear tannins that has all the hallmarks that we look for in a Riserva.
