Alcoholic content: 12.50 %

yr. 1974 Doctorwine:

97 of 100 Points.

"Doctorwine" has rated the wine "Chateau Mouton Rothschild, Pauillac, France" from the vintage 1974 on 01.01.1970 with 97 of 100 points.

"I had not tasted such a convincing Mouton Rothschild like this in years. The red color is nicely intact with only a few brick notes on the edge. The aromas are decidedly bottle-aged with notes of underbrush, fine mushroom, black truffle and strong spice. Very peppery. The mouthfeel is intense, expressive, assorted and stimulated."

yr. 2012 Gilbert & Gaillard:

96 of 100 Points.

"Gilbert & Gaillard" has rated the wine "Chateau Mouton Rothschild, Pauillac, France" from the vintage 2012 on 01.01.1970 with 96 of 100 points.

"EN PRIMEUR - Toast and roasted coffee on the nose with subdued black fruit. Extremely elegant, full palate still under oak influence. The roasted coffee and oak aromas show a transient predominance but there is no doubt the wine is there."

yr. 2011 Gilbert & Gaillard:

94 of 100 Points.

"Gilbert & Gaillard" has rated the wine "Chateau Mouton Rothschild, Pauillac, France" from the vintage 2011 on 01.01.1970 with 94 of 100 points.

"EN PRIMEUR - Deep garnet-red with crimson. Ultra ripe nose with jammy notes and evident oak showing toasted accents. Full attack, robust structure reinforced by oak tannins. Firm, stocky and tannic finish."

yr. 2009 Gilbert & Gaillard:

97 of 100 Points.

"Gilbert & Gaillard" has rated the wine "Chateau Mouton Rothschild, Pauillac, France" from the vintage 2009 on 01.01.1970 with 97 of 100 points.

"Intense crimson. Pronounced toasted oak on the nose backed by red fruit. Pleasant, velvety attack driven by red fruit coulis. Firmer mid-palate and finish dominated by oak."

yr. 2011 Tom Cannavan:

98 of 100 Points.

"Tom Cannavan" has rated the wine "Chateau Mouton Rothschild, Pauillac, France" from the vintage 2011 on 01.01.1970 with 98 of 100 points.

"Such a deep colour here, brown on the rim but ruby at the core. The depth of sensuous, blood streaked game, coffee and gamy notes. There is the peppercorn and herbal note too, some olive, in a hugely complex profile. The palate too is sensational, the medium bodied finesse of the savoury, still tight lack fruit woven with smoke, sweet, suede-like tannins and decisive acidity. This wine shimmers with life and vitality, the orangy tang of the acids and creamy ripeness of the fruit still there, even amongst the developed nuances of game and coffee. Fabulous, and extraordinarily long."

yr. 2000 Tom Cannavan:

97 of 100 Points.

"Tom Cannavan" has rated the wine "Chateau Mouton Rothschild, Pauillac, France" from the vintage 2000 on 01.01.1970 with 97 of 100 points.

"The game and bloody perfume is beginning to develop here, a very fine, racy ash and smoke note over refined black fruit. The berry richness suggests great ripeness. The palate has delightful balance, with very acidity and intense concentration, but the tannins and lovely length of the wine show brilliant harmony and huge potential."

yr. 2010 Gilbert & Gaillard:

96 of 100 Points.

"Gilbert & Gaillard" has rated the wine "Chateau Mouton Rothschild, Pauillac, France" from the vintage 2010 on 01.01.1970 with 96 of 100 points.

"Intense colour. Profound nose of fresh ripe red fruits. Concentrated palate revealing no excessive tannins. Closely-integrated, ripe, sweet fruit-driven attack leading into a robust, concentrated mid-palate and a firmer, slightly austere finish. Good fruit quality. A wine still in its youth."

yr. 2010 Tom Cannavan:

97 of 100 Points.

"Tom Cannavan" has rated the wine "Chateau Mouton Rothschild, Pauillac, France" from the vintage 2010 on 01.01.1970 with 97 of 100 points.

"An immediate note of minerality here, of graphite and gentle smokiness, cedar and composed black fruit. Dense, and the fruit not fantastically expressive at this stage, but very attractive components in there. The palate has plenty of oak, still quite raw and giving a little resinous character at this stage. The tannins are powerfully dry, and this is a big, liquorice-licked wine at this stage, with a creamy cherry fruit that is also dry and quite solid, plummy and deep, a wine that perhaps lacks a little of Lafite's precision in the finish, but has delicious, almost chocolate richness and substance."

yr. 1989 Tom Cannavan:

95 of 100 Points.

"Tom Cannavan" has rated the wine "Chateau Mouton Rothschild, Pauillac, France" from the vintage 1989 on 01.01.1970 with 95 of 100 points.

"The wine was decanted, only to take it off its sediment. The colour is browning a little, with a red oxide overall hue but some ruby at the core. On the nose there is a gorgeously deep, truffle and game perfume, withal rich berry fruit and subtle Sandalwood notes. There's a suggestion of real intensity. On the palate the wine has plenty of authority. It has a core of spicy tannin and lean, sinewy tannin and acidity, but there's a richness to both texture and fruit flavour too. Spiced plums, tobacco and lots of concentration. A lovely Mouton, with seemingly time ahead of it too."

yr. 2007 Gilbert & Gaillard:

96 of 100 Points.

"Gilbert & Gaillard" has rated the wine "Chateau Mouton Rothschild, Pauillac, France" from the vintage 2007 on 01.01.1970 with 96 of 100 points.

"Expressive, spicy nose with a core of black fruit, blackcurrant and rasperry, accompanied by a cedar note. The fleshy, full bodied palate is well balanced and structured by solid tannins. A successful vintage and an outstanding wine."

yr. 2006 Tom Cannavan:

93 of 100 Points.

"Tom Cannavan" has rated the wine "Chateau Mouton Rothschild, Pauillac, France" from the vintage 2006 on 01.01.1970 with 93 of 100 points.

"87% Cabernet sauvignon with 44% of the harvest making it into the Grand Vin. A flash of creamy new oak then a very deep-set quality of berry fruit comes through. Some cedar and coffee and again that earthiness. On the palate the oak is noticeable, with lovely fruit filling in, and although there is plenty of tannin, that is quite decisive, the balance is very good."
