"I had not tasted such a convincing Mouton Rothschild like this in years. The red color is nicely intact with only a few brick notes on the edge. The aromas are decidedly bottle-aged with notes of underbrush, fine mushroom, black truffle and strong spice. Very peppery. The mouthfeel is intense, expressive, assorted and stimulated."

In der Nase Torf, Whiskey, Asche, Kohle, kühler Rauch, mit mehr Luft auch rote Kirschen und eine Würze die mich an einen räsen Zincarlin aus dem Tessin erinnert. Der Gaumen präsentiert sich zugänglich und weich, mittelkräftiger Körper, abgeschmolzene Tannine, eine gut integrierte Säure stützt. Der Wein ist geschmeidig und zeigt einen schönen Schmelz, wirkt am mittleren Gaumen fast schon etwas füllig mit Noten von Preiselbeeren, Brombeeren und einer anregenden Würze im Abgang. Nein, gross ist dieser Mouton wahrlich nicht. Doch diese Flasche zeigte im Kontext seines wirklich nicht guten Füllstandes eine sehr schöne Ausgewogenheit.
