The Lageder Alois Winery is a renowned winery in Margreid, a small community in the South Tyrolean lowlands in Italy. The winery was founded in 1823 and has been run by the Lageder family for seven generations. The Lageder Alois winery is known for its high-quality wines, which are characterised by their elegance, finesse and balance. The vineyards of the winery are located on the hills around Margreid and benefit the climatic conditions of the region, which are characterised by mild temperatures, plenty of sunshine and an optimal altitude. For example, the use of chemical fertilisers and pesticides is avoided and instead natural methods such as the use of plant extracts and compost are used. The winery produces a variety of wines, including well-known varieties such as Lagrein, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Gewürztraminer. Each wine has its own personality and character and reflects the terroir of the region. In addition to winegrowing, the Lageder Alois Winery is also committed to promoting art and culture in the region. Brilliant straw yellow with a green shimmer. Quite pronounced and expressive aroma with flowery and somewhat spicy notes. Rich flavored in the mouth, with a slight smokiness at the back and a good, fresh finish.
Bright pale yellow tinged with green; attractive ripe orchard fruits on the nose, elegant and multi-faceted, yeasty with hints of honeydew melon and citrus fruits supported by firm acidity typical of the growing season, leading to a flinty aftertaste. Food Choices: Pasta and fragrant summer dishes, fish and seafood, white meats and fresh cheeses.
