"Fabio Ratto, der Weinmacher von Antinori auf Pian delle Vigne hat diesen besonderen Rebberg in einer Hügellage gefunden, die von der Eisenbahn (Ferrovia) umschlossen wird: Einladende Frucht- und Würznoten, auch mineralische Komponenten; am Gaumen geschliffen, die Tannine saftig und perfekt integriert, belebende Säure, gut abgestimmt mit den robsuten Gerbstoffen, insgesamt sehr facettenreich mit viel Samt, viel Finesse bis ins anhaltend feine Finale. Akkurat selektionierte Trauben werden abgepresst, der Most in in kleinem Holz vergoren, anschliessend macht der Weine noch eine Passage von 12 Monaten in 30 Hektoliter-Fässern durch und dann nochmals dieselbse Zeit in 60-Hektliter-Fässern und gewinnt dadurch seine Komplexität, seine Wärme und seinen Schliff.
