Franz and Bernadette Pratzner planted their first Riesling grapes in the Alte Rebe more than 30 years ago. The plot is quite small and produces only 1,500 bottles per year.
Grape variety: 100% Riesling.
Zone: Vinschgau / South Tyrol.
Vinification: The grapes are harvested by hand later than the other Riesling plots. Afterwards they are carefully processed and the wine is stored in large acacia barrels for 10 months on the fine yeast. This is followed by another 24 months in bottles before sale.
