Taste: Very juicy and soft on the palate. That gives this rosé a highly harmonious appeal and, together with its fresh and fruity acidity, makes for an exciting wine. Grape variety: Lagrein - South Tyrol DOC. Production area: Terlano is a wine-growing village located halfway between Alto Adige's main towns of Merano and Bolzano where the Adige flows through a wide valley in a south-easterly direction. The village and vineyards nestle against the red porphyry rock of Monte Tschöggl on the orographically left side of the valley. Sandy-stony, well-drained soils. Vinification: Manual harvest and selection of the grapes; gentle whole cluster pressing and clarification of the must ; slow fermentation at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks, aging on the lees in steel tanks for 6 - 7 months. Food recommendation: Good combination with beef tartare or a delicate carpaccio as well as a vegetable strudel. Serving temperature: 10 - 12°C. Ageing potential: 3 - 5 years. Bottle to: 750 ml - 75 cl - 0,75 lt. Allergens: Wine can contain sulphites. Producer: Terlano Winery Terlano’s tradition as a wine terroir dates back over 2023 years. That vines thrive so well in the lee of Monzoccolo is due to the mild, almost Mediterranean climate with hot sunny days and cool nights during the ripening time. The striking red, easily warmed porphyry soil of Terlano also contributes to the high quality of the grapes. In the heart of this South Tyrolean wine region the Terlano winery was established in 1893. Today the co-operative has over 200 members and a total area of 240 hectares. 70% of the vineyard acreage is planted with white grapes. In modern cellars the fruits of this careful, natural cultivation are turned into wine with that perfect touch and the necessary controls.Because of the mineral content of the wines the region of Terlano is also frequently likened to French vine growing areas. The Terlano wine characteristics, the precise fruit, and the fine yet strong aroma lead experts to compare the wine with mature vintage Champagnes.

The Terlan Winery, also known as Cantina Terlano, is a renowned winegrowing cooperative in the heart of the Italian region of South Tyrol. The history of the winery dates back to 1893, when 24 winegrowers joined forces to unite and improve their wine production. Today, Terlan is one of the most famous wine-growing regions in the whole of Italy and the Terlan Winery is considered one of the best wine producers in the country. The Terlan area, which stretches between Bolzano and Merano, is characterised by its unique geological and climatic conditions. The vineyards of the Terlan Winery are situated at an altitude of 250 to 900 metres above sea level and benefit the warm days and cool nights influenced by the main Alpine ridge. The soils are characterised by calcareous porphyry rock, which gives the wines their characteristic minerality. The Terlan Winery is best known for its white wines, especially the Terlaner Sauvignon, which has been one of the best wines in Italy for many years. The Terlaner Sauvignon is a complex and elegant wine that captivates with its aromas of gooseberries, peppers and elderflowers as well as its refined acidity structure. But also the other white wines of the winery, such as the Terlaner Pinot Bianco or the Terlaner Chardonnay, are of outstanding quality and stand out for their freshness and liveliness. In addition to the white wines, the Terlan Winery also produces some red wines, including the Terlan Lagrein and the Terlan Cabernet Sauvignon. These wines are marked by the characteristic Terlan minerality and the fruity aromas that are typical in the region. The Terlan Winery is a winegrowers' cooperative consisting of about 200 members who together cultivate about 190 hectares of vineyards. The members work according to strict quality criteria and strive to get the best out of their vineyards. The Terlan Winery relies on gentle and sustainable cultivation methods and works closely with the winegrowers to continuously improve the quality of their wines. The wines of the Terlan Winery are known in many countries around the world and are appreciated by wine lovers and critics alike. The winery has received numerous awards and is considered one of Italy's leading winegrowing cooperatives.
