Characteristic: Our Blauburgunder, or Pinot noir, is a ruby to garnet red wine with pronounced tannin profile, an intense, ethereal bouquet which is reminiscent of wild berries, and a lingering, full finish.

The Kaltern Winery is a renowned winegrowing cooperative in the South Tyrolean town of Kaltern am See. It was founded in 1906 and has since developed into one of the most important wine producers in the region. The Kaltern Winery is one of the few cooperatives that specialise in the production of high-quality wines.

The Kaltern Winery relies on close cooperation with the approximately 300 members who deliver their grapes to the winery. This allows for constant quality control and means that only the best grapes can be processed. The members of the Kaltern Winery are primarily small family businesses that specialise in growing wine and thus preserve the traditional winegrowing culture in the region.
