I prosciutti di Levi were born in San Daniele del Friuli, where a delicate balance of humidity and ventilation help to make one of the jewels of Italian food: prosciutto di San Daniele.
The sweet flavour of Levi hams is reminiscent of the perfume and culture of a land which has cleverly kept in step with modernity, without compromising its own baggage of ancient traditions.
The grape variety, which originated in Germany, has found an ideal terroir in South Tyrol. Riesling makes high demands on the site and prefers a cool but sunny climate. This is exactly what the vineyards around Lake Montiggl and the neighbouring sites offer, whose porphyry soils give the wine its special character. The Riesling Fallwind impresses with its fruity notes and mineral acidity, which make it a top-class wine.

The so-called "salted meat" is marinated (with salt, pepper, juniper and bay berries) according to a typical Trentino recipe. The "carne salada" can be served as carpaccio, as tartare or grilled with salad or marinated legumes. Of course, it is an ideal antipasto or a great product for any rich buffet.
For the gourmets among us, the delicious wild boar ham is recommended. The meat of the wild boar is not comparable to that of the domestic pig. It is aromatic and dark red in colour. Furthermore, the meat is leaner and firmer than that of the domestic pig.
