"(2020) A blend of several Premier Cru parcels from Beaune, this has a fine, rich garnet colour and a lovely and welcoming nose suffused with soft red berries and sweet smoky vanilla. There's a nice tobacco and herb, almost floral edge too. In the mouth there's plenty of ripe, sweet and plush berry fruit that is mouth-filling and velvetty, in a full, hedonistic and strawberry-touched fruity Burgundy. Lovely."

"(2017) Though Beaune may be more familiar as a red wine, the appellation covers white wines too, in this case a blend from different Premier Cru parcels matured for around 10 months in oak, about 15% new. Oatmeal and almond toastiness at first, a hint of spice and modest apple fruit. In the mouth very good ripeness, lots of pear and apple, a hint of something orangey to the acidity, then the infill of the spices and wheatmeal and oatmeally oak again. Enjoyable, though perhaps a touch abrupt."

"(2003) No-one has vines in more Beaune 1er Cru sites than BP&F. This Beaune du Ch-teau is a blend of up to 15 of these 1er Crus. The aim of the blend is to a certain extent, to iron vintage differences and come up with a consistent style - more of a Bordelais philosophy. The wine itself is medium colour. Much more fruit on rounded nose, mainly high toned. The palate is not so 'sweet' as the Monthélie, but the fruit is nicely defined. The tannins are of the large and very furry variety. A very serious wine then, which should be outstanding value vs most 1er Crus. This wine begs to be cellared, I would say a minimum 3 years. It should be very nice."
