"An emotional experience. The color has distinct orange reflections even if the overall spectrum is that of a Nebbiolo. More than the color what is surprising are all the other sensations, both the aromas and the flavors. With time the bouquet seems to have gone in another direction with an explosion of mineral and balsamic notes, lava and spice, all with the intensity of a Pinot Noir. The mouthfeel is stinging, never tame, stimulating and very complex. Drinking an old Quintarelli is an experience a great wine lover should never deny themselves. Price: over 250 at auctions"

"It is amazing how luminous this is, it is as if there was a light bulb in the glass. The color is a fiery, pulsating red. The aroma is very intense, inebriating and intriguing with its oriental scents, sinuous yet rich in nuances, with crushed tobacco, Perigord griottines, licorice and a slight primitive note that recalls antique leather and gives the aroma that enhancing note of austerity. The mouthfeel is sumptuous, broad, rich and opulent, elegant and aristocratic. Its lifespan seems eternal while today it is pure delight."

"This is extraordinarily intact already with its color, which has only slightly paled and has a touch of garnet on the edge. The bouquet has dried flowers and an abundance of aromatic herbs and the overall impression is that the glass is filled with gelatin or a glaze of blueberries and blackberries. The balsamic component increases with age as does the intensity, creating scents of mint and pine needles. The mouthfeel is silky, elegant and voluptuous, while the length is extraordinarily long. Price: over 250 euros in auctions"

The aroma is complex and detailed in a classic ‘Quintrarellian’ vein, with strong scents of dried fruit, spice and balsamic fragrances. The mouthfeel is already soft and gratifying and seems relentless until the glass is empty."

"A fantastic interpretation of a very difficult year. Its relatively bold color is surprising after the ‘ink-like’ one of the Dal Forno wines. Here the color is luminous, almost iridescent. The aroma immediately attacks the nose with scents of wild strawberry jam, dried dates and even a whiff of Bronte pistachio. But it is the balsamic component of the Maestro’s Amarone that takes center stage together with the extreme elegance and fantastic balances of a wine with an alcoholic content of over 16% and an incredible structure. Needless to say, its drinkability seem almost unreal."
