"The opening whiffs find scents of pears, grapes, and mature oily, buttery, aromas; in the second sniffing round the spirit is pleasantly prickly with loads of character. Palate entry is sweeter and fruitier than the Cordon Bleu; round, luxurious and slightly coffee-like in its bittersweet approach at midpalate. Ends with an inoffensive little numbing sensation."

It reveals notes of dry fruits, Zante currant and slight touches of lemon associated with a hint of candied fruits, a subtle hint of rancio, grilled oak as well as a very discreet hint of tobacco and pear . The palate is fruity , well-balanced , round , relatively powerful and offers suavity , fat as well as gourmandise. In the mouth this Cognac expresses notes of lemon zests, clementine zests, candied citrus and hints of Zante currant , caramel associated with a hint of roasting , grilled oak as well as a subtle hint of black pepper and a very discreet hint of vanilla (in the background). Good length and persistence ."
