Collio Malvasia - 2017 - Winery Picech
Winemaking: Guyot system. Harvested by hand in mid-September, just when the ripe grapes are turning color. Soft pressed - Brought to cold temperature to allow a separation of the sediment. Fermented and matured on the yeasts for 6 months in cement vats with the exception of 20% of the Friulano which is kept in 10 year old tonneaux for 6 months.
Colour: strong garnet red. Aroma: invitingly open and multi-layered with violets, chocolate, ripe damsons, cloves. Taste: elegant with velvety structure, soft tannins, light bitter almond tones, youthful freshness, rustic elegance, unpretentious yet cosmopolitan: the perfect symbiosis of the traditional and the modern
The wine has a dense and impressive colour. Very intensive fruit notes of black currant and wild cherry, liquorice and leather. In the mouth it's chubby, soft, handy tannins and has a fine long finale.
Golden yellow in colour with copper tones depending on the vintage. It presents a fruity and immediate bouquet with a pronounced hint of acacia flowers, broom and apple. In the mouth it is elegantly fruity and becomes full-bodied and well-structured. It has a very persistent finish.
This bacon is well suited for hors-d'oeuvre courts.
