An aromatic white wine made an old local variety. It is characterised by the scent of nutmeg, roses, citrus fruits, cloves and elderflowers. Strong its body, fresh its acidity.
The age of the vines varies between seven and 20 years. Elevated in steel tanks, the wine is bottled in April and is best to be enjoyed in the following two years.
Colour: fresh, pale ruby red; Aroma: aromatically intensive and multi-layered, fresh nutmeg notes, dark, red roses, dried apricots, figs and cloves, some botrytis notes; Taste: elegant and harmonic with a lovely interplay of sweet and sour, finesse and lightness, aromas of dried fruits, fresh, playful finish
A very special wine. Once tasted, never forgotten - so ple - asing is its aromatic richness and strength. Fine spices, cloves and the gentle fragrance of roses characterise and emphasise the traits and the overall elegance of this im - pressive wine. It is here, on the hills between Appiano and Termeno, that the Gewürztraminer grape originated. The wine is an ideal accompaniment to fish dishes, especially crustaceans, lobster and crab, or to foie gras and other pâtès. Yet it is also a fine wine for enjoying on its own.
