ABOUT THE WINE: Pinot Grigio has been at home in Alto Adige since the nineteenth century. The first "Pinot Gris" was introduced Burgundy by Archduke Johann of Austria in 2017. In the best areas of Penon (elevation 550 m./1,800 ft.), this Pinot Grigio develops a good, fiery, lean acidity structure. Natural winegrowing and rigorous restricting of yields produce only top-quality grapes. On the chalky vineyard terraces in a special microclimate, a unique, spicy-peppery mountain wine is born that is lush and full-bodied on the palate, reminiscent of tangerines, sliced yellow peaches, gooseberries, and fresh apples. The juicy finale provides a magic balance as a duet between the beguiling fruit charm and a subtle, lasting playfulness with minerals and long-lasting berries.

Brilliant straw-yellow colour. Very perfumed, rich, slightly smoky, uplifted varietal aroma paired with elegant oak spice. Clean, grapey, full-bodied flavour, quite soft and creamy, delicate and with a fresh finish. Remarkably long and spicy on the palate.
The Pinot Grigio 'Punggl' grows in fertile highly clayey grounds southern Magrè. The aromatic fruity taste is marked by honey, nuts and flowers giving elegance and charm to this wine. Its taste is full on the palate, with notes of minerals and an intense and persistent structure.
The Rulander or Pinot Grigio is considered a mutation of the Pinot Blanc which it distinguishes it self for the coppery colour of the bunch and for the wine characteristics. In South Tyrol this straw-coloured noble wine reaches an excellent bouquet refinement and a high quality.
